Re-Global Conference on Land-Oceans Connection

 

     This Pertains to the hosting of the Philippines Re-Global Conference on Land-Ocean Connection (GLOC) including the 3rd Intergovernmental Review of the Global Programme of Action for the Protection of the Marine Environmental from Land-Based Activities with the Department of Environment and Natural Resuorces as the lead agency held at the EDSA Shangri-LA Hotel, this City from January 23-27, 2012.

     The Activity was participated by more or less 500 delegates from foreign countries and local delegates with Former President FIDEL V. RAMOS as guest speaker for the opening and His Excellency Vice President JEJOMAR BINAY for the closing ceremony of the said affair.

     Relatedly, Mandaluyong City Police Station deployed deployed personnel 24 hours a day with the assistance of Eastern Police District/ District Public Safety Battalion and NCRPOs Regional Public Safety Battalion personnel to ensure the safety of the GLOC delegates on the duration of the activities at Shangri-La Hotel. Likewise, included is the road security conducted last January 27, 2012 for the City tour of the delegates who visited Intramuros, Luneta Park, CCP, Mall of Asia and Green Hills Shopping Center with Mandaluyong City Police Station Mobile Car #331 with Police Commissioned Officer and Police Non-Commissioned Officer as lead security.
