Pulis....Makakalikasan Several endangered species were rescued by Mandaluyong City Police Station Personnel from the hands of wildlife traders. Two (2) tarsiers, one (1) brahmini kite or lawin, and two (2) turtles were seized from the suspect Armando Zeta and were then turned over to Protective Wildlife and Protection Bureau in Quezon City. The animals will be undergoing treatments at the bureau and once stable, the tarsiers will be transported back to Bohol as they are very sensitive that the climate and noise of the city may have negative effect on them. Zeta and his companion, Kenneth Rodriguez, were arrested about 9:00 P.M of January 31, 2013 along Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City after Zeta offered for sale to a police officer the brahmini kite (lawin) for six thousand pesos (Php 6,000.00). After the arrest, Zeta was also found in possession of the tarsiers and turtles. See Video
NEWLY INSTALLED OFFICER-IN-CHARGE BARES PLANS
PSSUPT FLORENDO C QUIBUYEN takes the helm of Mandaluyong City Police Station. He is appointed as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) effective January 11, 2013 pursuant to GO No. 006, issued by District Personnel and Human Resource Development Division, in lieu of PSSUPT ARMANDO C BOLALIN who has served the City for maximum tenure of two (2) years, and is now assigned in another unit. Quibuyen’s last assignment was as Chief of Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD/R7) of NCRPO. A member of PNPA Tagapagbuklod Class of 1989, he assumed duty just in time for the commencement of the election period and is faced with the task of keeping the 2013 National and Local elections peaceful.

MANDALUYONG CONDUCT SEMINAR AGAINST DRUGS The Mandaluyong City Police Station in coordination with the Mandaluyong City Government conducted the Orientation Seminar on the Management of Barangay Anti-Drug Clearing Operations at the Kaban ng Hiyas, this City. USEC, ARTURO C CACDAC JR., Director General of the PDEA graced the occasion and delivered his inspirational message at the start of the seminar. He commended the City Governement and the Chief of Police for their "dynamic and uncompromising stand against illegal drugs." He further said that 92% of Metro Manila's Barangasy are drug affected so there is really a need to tap the involvement of Barangay in the fight against illegal drugs.
BALIK ESKWELA 2012
On June 4, 2012 at 6:00AM personnel of this station were deployed at different schools and manned the Police Assistance Desk as a proactive measures against criminal elements who might took the opportunity carrying out their modus operandi where students/parents/teachers could be the possible target. Police Community Precinct Commanders personally supervised each Police Assistance Desk in different schools within their Area of Responsibility. As early as 7:00AM the Chief of Police PSSUPT ARMANDO F. BOLALIN together with the undersigned inspected different school thereat distributed flyers re: “PAALALA AT MGA DAPAT GAWIN PARA IWAS KRIMEN AT SAKUNA SA BALIK ESKWELA 2012”. |
